Gym & Food
This past month I’ve been trying out a new exercise routine. It involves high intensity interval training and more weights than I would normally do. The idea is to stimulate my body to have a higher proportion of lean muscle than fat. So far it has worked well! Muscle seems to burn off a lot more excess weight whilst I’m not at the gym than long distance running that I used to do.

Hmmmm Steak
Yesterday I was hungry so I chanced my arm at cooking a steak. I’ve never tried cooking a steak before and didn’t really know what I was doing when I started but here is what I did. For record, I followed the cooking suggestions on the back of the steak packet and didn’t just wing it!

To celebrate, I’ve just eaten some excellent sushi at Masa in Bristol. Really nice and cozy and some wonderful cooking too!
Cooking simple but hearty food

Recipe for Smoked Salmon Tagliatelle
Ingredients:
Smoked Salmon
Fresh tagliatelle
Single cream
Yummy cheese
Salt
Pepper
Herby stuff (dill, etc)
Egg
Paprika (optional)
Olive oil
Butter
White wine (optional)
Instructions:
- Crack egg into bowl and whisk
- Put tagliatelle into pot and simmer with hot water with olive oil
- Add cream to egg whisk and whisk
- Add the herby stuff to the egg and cream whisk and whisk
- Add salt and pepper to the egg, cream and herby whisk and whisk
- Grate cheese into the egg, cream, herby stuff, salt and pepper whisk and whisk
- Flake salmon into the egg, cream, herby stuff, salt, pepper and cheese whisk and whisk
Drain tagliatelle and mix with the bowl of whisk with butter and a glass of white wine.
Enjoy!

Today's diet
Today I mostly had:
Breakfast: 2 slices of wholemeal toast = 166 C
Lunch: Kids portion of porridge = 180 C
Drinks: 3 cups of black coffee = 16.2 C
Dinner: Lots of boiled vegetables and 3 roast chicken breasts = 1400 C
Total = 1762 C
Recommended daily allowance = 2500 C
Difference = 738 C

On with this new diet and here are my results so far…..

Right back from holiday and watching South Park. Holiday was amazing but now I need to detox. I’m going to try and start a new diet which is as follows.
