For the May Bank holiday, we spent the time in Bristol.
Took the train from Foxford to Dublin on Friday morning which took three and a half hours but meant that we avoided the insanity of the Titanic celebrations in Lahardane.
Easter has begun Ireland with the eating of chocolate eggs.
This week I’m in Tignes, France snowboarding with some friends from work.
Yesterday I was hungry so I chanced my arm at cooking a steak. I’ve never tried cooking a steak before and didn’t really know what I was doing when I started but here is what I did. For record, I followed the cooking suggestions on the back of the steak packet and didn’t just wing it!
Hi everyone! You can use this to easily draft your objections to the planned demolition of the greatest pub in Battersea, The Castle! You can find this information and more on the Save The Castle website as well as on flyers and cards in The Castle.
The #savethecastle now has a website where you can keep in touch with the latest news.
Sad news has reached us. Our beloved Castle has just learned that a planning application has been sent to the council to knock it down and build apartments and a parking lot!
Go to wandsworth.gov.uk find a planning application and search for application number 2012/0229 to protest and keep track of the application.
Today we went to have afternoon tea at the Washington Mayfair Hotel. Nice place and lovely atmosphere but I don’t think I’d come here again. Staff are friendly enough and at £25 a head for afternoon tea including a cocktail, the price isn’t bad. What spoiled it is the poor quality of the food and drinks. Tasted like it was pre packed and not made up fresh.
Happy New Year to all.
To celebrate, I’ve just eaten some excellent sushi at Masa in Bristol. Really nice and cozy and some wonderful cooking too!
