Cape Of Good Hope And Kirstenbosch Gardens

South Africa Day Three

My last blog post aimed to be in the style of American Psycho. Reading it back to myself it sounds more like Alan Partridge. So I will try something different this time. I will write this on the style of Dr Seuss.

We went to Hout Bay to look and to play,

Sipping some coffee there as we lay.

We browsed the market selling all sorts of goods,

On the magical coach tour around South Africa’s hoods.

Cape Of Good Hope

Penguin Sean was excited and playful all day,

To rendezvous with his cousins at Betty’s Bay.

Alas and damn and drat we say,

Our coach tour to the penguins was not today!

We travelled to Cape Point by the nature reserve,

Down by the coast eating jams and preserves.

The road was winding but we travelled it right,

The food was devine that we ate last night

Out there was a lighthouse no one was about,

They’d moved the house down with a bang and a shout!

The old house was high - too high for those ships,

That banged on the shore all broken in sticks.

Cape Point

Kirstenbosch gardens was our final stop,

To end the third day with a bang and a pop!

Now sleepy and aching from walking all day,

We sunk a few cocktails and then hit the hay.
